    India makes e-visa mandatory for all Afghan nationals in view of security situation

    The Union home ministry said on Wednesday that owing to the prevailing security situation in Afghanistan and the streamlining of the visa process by introduction of the e-Emergency X-Misc visa, it has been decided that all Afghan nationals henceforth must travel to India only on e-Visa. “Afghan nationals wishing to travel to India may apply for e-Visa at www.indianvisaonline.gov.in, ” the MHA further said.     India records 37,593 new Covid-19 cases, about 12,000 cases added in last 24 hours

    India’s daily tally of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) saw a major increase on Wednesday as 37,593 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours, taking the caseload to 32,512,366, according to the Union health ministry’s update at 8am. As many as 648 patients died and 34,169 recovered from the viral disease in the said period. With this the cumulative count of deaths and recoveries has climbed to 435,758 and 31,754,281 respectively. Read more
